Will Wilson’s new book Constructed Climates is a study of the surprisingly ways urban tree canopies affect local air quality and the health and welfare of people living nearby. His amazing visuals clarify how disparities in urban green space vary directly with other inequities affecting life quality – clearly making the case that urban ecology is an environmental justice issue. He will show examples from across the US of the inequities in ecosystem services. Will has been an ecology professor at Duke University since 1996. He is also active in the Durham People’s Alliance. Free (but we pass the hat.).
