"OPEN FARM DAY" @ Earth's Turn Community in Mebane on 10-21, celebrate with us

Join us Sat., October 21 to celebrate the recent founding of our Agrarian Intentional Community on a beautiful piece of land near Mebane, on the western edge of Orange County, about 25 minutes from Chapel Hill. 1:00-5:30 pm. We're at 2119 Doe Run Rd. Drop by or stay the whole time. There will be snacks and beverages all day and at 4:00 we’ll have some more substantial chow! We will prepare some grilled chicken, salad out of our garden, and look forward to your potluck contributions. Vegan, Vegetarian and Omnivore dishes welcome. There is PLENTY you CAN see… beautiful wildflower fields, woods, ponds and creek, a thriving market garden (despite having a late start)! You will want to wear closed-toe shoes and some bug spray, at minimum. If you want to have the FULL Tour – creek/ponds/woods, you will want to wear substantial shoes/boots, long sleeves/pants. Tours will be at 2:00 and 4:00. Our Common House is almost finished, and 2 other buildings have been built. Please learn more about our vision, values, and other details on Facebook at Earth's Turn Community. We welcome volunteer help - you can schedule an afternoon to help us with the farming or other projects.
