No one even noticed the sudden flash during the closing time bustle. Not at first anyway. The mist escaping underneath the door eventually gave it away. The bustle turned to panic and then to curiosity. A few brave souls, backing each other up, opened the shivering door and slowly revealed a room that would have normally, fit right in at The Wandering Dragon Game Shoppe. Both classic and contemporary board games filled the space. Nothing peculiar at all, nothing, except for a misplaced rule book lying innocently on the table before them. A rule book like no other. As one of the seekers began to read the strange instructions, the door closed behind them. Before you lies games and puzzles and within, a puzzle of a game. Those who enter shall will forever share in the blame As now, history will always remember your names Will you exit victoriously or falter in flames As with every classic villain, I will boldly reveal and proclaim My evil plot is foreshadowed within this puzzle of a game The group was never heard from again. The rules of this game seem familiar, but this is no ordinary game. This is of the Game Masters own design. He has lured you in just as he did those before you. He has lured you in and the rules are about to be changed. You must do what those before you could not. This sounds like the beginning of something sinister and you have exactly one hour to figure out what it's all about." What is an escape room? An escape room is a fun, challenging, live, interactive puzzle game. You are "locked" in a room designed with specific clues that will lead you to the objectives to win the game. With only 60 minutes to play, teams of 3-6 must work together, communicate, and use their problem-solving skills to "escape" before time is up. Are you ready for the challenge?
D&D 5E: Storm King's Thunder Campaign Participation in this event requires the purchase of the D&D 5E: Players Handbook from the Wandering Dragon. If you have already purchased your book elsewhere please email us at [masked] to inquire about availability. This campaign is for new players or players looking to learn Dungeons & Dragons. The campaign will run every other Saturday, starting on 2/10. The first session will be character creation and an introductory adventure for the campaign. Your adventure awaits! In Dungeons and Dragons, you take on the role of a fantasy hero and help tell your story in collaboration with your fellow players and a Dungeon Master. It could be small, intimate and idiosyncratic—or huge, sweeping and epic as each D&D group tells a different story. D&D5E draws from every prior edition to create a universally compelling play experience, and exemplifies the true spirit of a game that holds captive the hearts and minds of millions of players worldwide. D&D5E: Storm King's Thunder Giants have emerged from their strongholds to threaten civilization as never before. Hill giants are stealing all the grain and livestock they can while stone giants have been scouring settlements that have been around forever. Fire giants are press-ganging the smallfolk into the desert, while frost giant longships have been pillaging along the Sword Coast. Even the elusive cloud giants have been witnessed, their wondrous floating cities appearing above Waterdeep and Baldur’s Gate. Where is the storm giant King Hekaton, who is tasked with keeping order among the giants? The humans, dwarves, elves, and other small folk of the Sword Coast will be crushed underfoot from the onslaught of these giant foes. The only chance at survival is for the small folk to work together to investigate this invasion and harness the power of rune magic, the giants’ weapon against their ancient enemy the dragons. The only way the people of Faerun can restore order is to use the giants’ own power against them. Dungeons & Dragons Dungeons & Dragons roleplaying game is about storytelling in worlds of sword and sorcery. D&D is driven by imagination. It’s about picturing the towering castle beneath the stormy night sky and imagining how a fantasy adventurer might react to the challenges that scene presents. Dungeons & Dragons gives structure to the stories, a way of determining the consequences of the adventurers’ action. Players roll dice to resolve whether their attacks hit or miss or whether their adventurers can scale a cliff, roll away from the strike of a magical lightning bolt, or pull off some other dangerous task. Anything is possible, but the dice make some outcomes more probable than others. In the Dungeons & Dragons game, each player creates an adventurer (also called a character) and teams up with other adventurers (played by friends). Working together, the group might explore a dark dungeon, a ruined city, a haunted castle, a lost temple deep in a jungle, or a lava-filled cavern beneath a mysterious mountain. The adventurers can solve puzzles, talk with other characters, battle fantastic monsters, and discover fabulous magic items and other treasure.
