NYC PAN Vegan Pledge

Peace Advocacy Network (PAN), a nonprofit group run completely by volunteers, is bringing the PAN Vegan Pledge to NYC. This FREE, live program guides nonvegans through 30 days of being vegan with the program’s hands-on support (note- we need vegan to serve as mentors/volunteers and nonvegans to take the pledge program). This support includes five weekly meetings consisting of cooking demonstrations, speakers addressing environmental, ethical, health, and practical issues, a personal mentor (experienced vegan), optional social events for even more support, and an incredible care package to make 30 days of being vegan that much easier. The program is FREE. People do need to register (both vegan mentors and nonvegans pledging):

Here are the meeting details:
Meeting 1 is Sunday, October 27 from 2-5 PM at the Houston Street Center, 237 Bowery, Lower Manhattan.

I am already booked up the next few Sundays but this sounds like a great idea. If this is going on again and I'm free, I would love to join. Are all attending vegans considered mentors?

Everyone who attends has to be signed up for something (pledge, mentor, or other volunteer). It is free, but it is not just open for people to come without making arrangements. I have to submit a list of names to the facility for security purposes. I'm sorry you can't make it. We generally only have these once a year for each city where we're doing the program.
