Toronto Movies and Outings Group (TM&OG), we celebrate the story telling of every aspect that film has to offer from Good, the Bad, and the Ugly in film. At TM&OG we anticipated and take the challenge out of finding the best and unique movies that cinema has to offer. Whether it's from a big block buster or a small independent movie we have you covered.

We also want our members to have a one on one experience, feel enrich and be engaged in a cinematic experience. TM&OG does this by providing a community setting where you can meet other members the love movies! We understand that films has an effectiveness to change one's life, bring out one's self discovery, enrichment, and self reflection. We want to provided you with a stress free, guilt free time away from one's busy life. Let Toronto Movies and Outing do all the planing for you! All you have to do is show up!

At the same time we encourage all members to join us after the movie where we will find the best restaurant to sharing your thoughts about the movie and about anything else life has throw our way . We also want to provide other opportunities to meet other members through are many different and various outing events. We really hope you will join us!

This year there has been a busy year with a lot of great movies. Come out to are annual Oscar Party. Enjoy this event with other members that love movies! STOP EVERYTHING!!!!! There as been a change in plans. We will now be going to O'Grady's and now it will a FABULOUS OSCAR party. O'Grady's called me up (little old me) and ask if I wanted to join their party and when I said...."what will you do for us" they rolled out the red carpet and said we can give you Free Dessert, we will have someone dress up as an Oscar and we will have a Drag queen running around. They have many TV's and it's a great place. Meetup time: 6:30pm...It's a good idea to be on time so you can get a good seat. Oscar preshow starts: 7:00pm Oscar presentations begins: 8:00pm Cost: $5.00 for raffle prizes (movie passes, dinner passes and more). Also Free Dessert after 9:30pm Cost for a meal: $$$ - Please order something off the menu to support them. This places also has a lot of different drinks too. O'Grady's O'Grady's is in the heart of Toronto's Gay Village and one of the most welcome places in Toronto. It's the perfect spot to hang out with friends, enjoy a craft beer or delicious cocktail and have a FABULOUS time. They also have a great menu even for the most picky eater. Located on the corner of Church and Maitland Street, How to to get to O'Grad'y: O'Grady's is only 5mins or less walk from Wellesley Station. Walk east on Wellesley and when you get to Chruch St walk south till you get to Maitland. Parking: There is a lot of parking in the area. I also think it's a better idea to take the Subway....That way you can drink! Weather: This event will go on in most weather condition. It is the responsibility of the members to be tracking the weather. If you live in the GTA please only sign up the day of, as it can be really hard to drive into the city. The best way to get to any of my events is the TTC. Changing your RSVP on the day of means you will be removed from the group.

Toronto Light Festival: The city’s largest light art festival, The Toronto Light Festival is back to brighten up Toronto’s Distillery Historic District this winter. Starting at sundown daily, the festival transforms the neighborhood into one the largest open-air galleries across North America. This year’s festival features over 30 light art installations from both local and international artists, with works ranging from interactive art displays to awe-inspiring sculptures. 8th ANNUAL - Pancake Tuesday (Shrove Tuesday)! $8 - $11 Pancakes!

This event is hosted by: Mathew - Please email him if you have any questions. Please don't call the venue as they will not know anything about this event, at [masked] This is by far my biggest event of the year. I had over 70 people show up for this event. With more on the waiting list. There is no other event like this in Toronto. Don't miss out on this one of a kind event. PANCAKE TUESDAY Why not come come out and have Pancakes on PANCAKE TUESDAY. This is a celebration before Lent where you give something up for 40days (you don't have to be Catholic- it just something I did as a child). In olden times it would be a time where you would give up fat, sugars and sweets. It is all so nice to just have Pancakes on a week night. The Restaurant: The Chew Chew Diner! Since opening in 2008, They have made it their mission to serve amazing food at affordable prices. Their meals are homemade, cooked and prepared in-house and always delivered to your table with a smile! When creating their menu, they decided to add a few meal items that would incorporate their traditional European heritage, of which they are very proud of. They are extremely passionate about there restaurant, and very thankful for the support and dedication of their customers over the past 8 years. As they continue to grow and serve, they will always stay true to our mission, and provide their customers with an experience like no other! PLEASE NOTE: This place is very small and we will all be at different tables. Cost: The pancakes will cost $8 -$12 Plus tip and tax. WHERE IS IT: 186 Carlton St How to get there by TTC: You can either take the Collage Street car east to Sherbourne and then walk east or you can take the Sherbourne bus going south and get off as Carlton and then walk east. The diner is not far from the bus stop. Meetup Fee: $5.00 Can kids come: As long as they are well behaved and I will set a side a table for family's.
