### An Easy, Flat Fall Walk Through Toronto's Green Spaces

Looking for an easy way to enjoy the fall colours without tackling a difficult hike?
Join us for a relaxed walk from Pioneer Village Station to Finch Station, travelling through Black Creek Parkland and along the Finch Recreational Trail.

This is one of our members' favourite walks for a reason. The route is mostly flat and takes us through open fields, wooded areas, and quiet green spaces that feel surprisingly far removed from the city.

We'll take our time, enjoy the changing leaves, stop for a break by Dufferin Creek, and spend the day walking and getting to know each other.

## 🚶‍♂️ What We'll Do

We'll start outside Pioneer Village Station and make our way through Black Creek Parkland before joining the Finch Recreational Trail.
Along the way we'll:

• Walk through Black Creek Parkland 🌳
• Follow the Finch Recreational Trail
• Enjoy the fall colours and changing scenery 🍂
• Stop for a break near Dufferin Creek
• Have some time for conversation and photos
• Continue along the trail toward Finch Station

This is a long but easy, mostly flat walk. There are no major hills or difficult terrain, but you'll want comfortable shoes and enough energy for the full route.

## 🍂 Fall Is the Best Time to Do This Walk

There's something particularly nice about this trail in the fall. The air is cooler, the leaves are changing, and the open stretches of the trail give you plenty of room to slow down and enjoy the season.
It's a good walk if you want to get outside without feeling like you're climbing a mountain.
And as always, the activity is the container. The people you meet along the way are the real experience.

We’re heading out to see a movie together, then grabbing food or drinks after. If the film's great (or terrible), we’ll probably talk about it forever. ### A Hidden Ravine, Easy Walking & Great Conversation

Sometimes the best parts of Toronto are the ones most people drive right past.

Join us for a relaxed fall walk along the Gus Harris Trail, a quiet ravine trail that follows Taylor-Massey Creek through Scarborough and East York.

This isn't a challenging hike. It's an easy, mostly flat walk through one of Toronto's quieter green spaces, with plenty of time to enjoy the changing leaves, get some fresh air, and meet other people along the way.

We'll follow the creek, walk beneath the trees, and take our time enjoying the fall scenery.
The goal isn't to race to the end of the trail. It's to get outside, have some good conversations, and enjoy the company.

✨ Fun Fact: Taylor-Massey Creek takes its name from two prominent Toronto families. The Taylor family was associated with the Don Valley Brick Works, now home to Evergreen Brick Works.

## 🚶‍♂️ What We'll Do

We'll spend about two hours walking along the trail, taking our time, chatting, and getting to know one another.
This is a social walk, not a race.

The route has very few hills, making it a comfortable walk for most people with a reasonable level of fitness.
We'll finish back where we started.

This walk takes place outdoors in typical Toronto fall weather.
Please dress appropriately for the conditions and wear comfortable walking shoes. The trail may be damp or muddy depending on recent weather.
Bring water and a snack, and dress in layers if the temperature is changing throughout the day.

### A 90-Minute Halloween Ghost Walk Through Toronto's Haunted History

ooking for something a little different this Halloween season?

Join us for a guided ghost walk through the University of Toronto campus and its eerie surroundings, exploring some of the stories, legends, and strange histories hidden in one of Toronto's oldest neighbourhoods.
This isn't one of our regular walks where we're simply following a trail and enjoying the scenery.

This is a curated storytelling experience.

I've researched the locations, developed the route, and put together the stories specifically for this experience. We'll explore some of the darker corners of the university and surrounding neighbourhoods while uncovering the people, places, and legends that have given them their haunted reputations.

🕯️ Along the way, we'll hear stories about:

• What the Christies — yes, Mr. Christie Cookies — were hiding in their mansion 🍪
• The restless little girl who is never happy 👧
• What might really be lurking inside Queen's Park 👀
• Haunted stories connected to University of Toronto buildings
• The Royal Conservatory of Music
• The Royal Ontario Museum
• And some other stories that are better experienced after dark... 👻

You don't have to believe in ghosts.
You just have to enjoy a good story.

## 👻 What We'll Do

We'll spend approximately 90 minutes walking through the University of Toronto campus and surrounding streets, stopping at locations connected to Toronto's haunted history.

Along the way we'll:

• Hear stories about some of Toronto's most intriguing characters and locations
• Explore the darker history of the University of Toronto
• Visit locations associated with ghost stories and local legends
• Learn the history behind some of the buildings around us
• Walk through Queen's Park and the surrounding area
• Finish at the Royal Ontario Museum

We'll remain outside the buildings throughout the experience.
The walking pace will be moderate, with plenty of stops along the way for stories.

Our regular walks are about getting outside, exploring Toronto, and meeting people.
This one is different.

This is a guided storytelling experience.

The route and stories have been researched and developed specifically for this event, so you're not just following me from one location to another — you're getting a story about the city as we go.
And because it's Halloween season, we'll be doing it after dark. 🎃

This is an outdoor walking experience, so please dress appropriately for the weather.
We'll be walking for approximately 90 minutes, with regular stops for storytelling.

There is no entry into any buildings, so you won't need to worry about museum admission or other entrance fees.
And while some of the stories are genuinely creepy, this isn't designed to be a horror attraction.

It's Toronto history, local legends, and storytelling with a spooky twist.
