PLEASE READ IN ITS ENTIRETY. Join us for a very special event, the 13th annual Palm Beach County Back to School Bash for needy students grades K-12. By helping them prepare for a new school year you have an opportunity to have a meaningful impact on children who are underprivileged, homeless, at risk of homelessness or in foster care. No experience is needed. Registering for this is a two-step process. See paragraph 4.
This year's event will again be an outdoors drive-through. Volunteer tasks include handing out backpacks prefilled with grade-appropriate books and supplies, plus food boxes and other materials; traffic management; scanning/check-in of students; cleanup and more.
The policy on face coverings will be announced closer to the event. You should wear comfortable shoes and cool clothing. Tents will be set up but sunscreen and hats are recommended. Temperature screening will be performed on all volunteers and staff. Wipes, hand sanitizer and water will be readily available. Snacks and a light lunch will be provided and you'll receive a commemorative t-shirt.
