Paddlefest Water Marshal Volunteers

For those that have volunteered to be Water Marshals at Paddlefest (Saturday, 22 June), you will have to supply your own boat, PFD/life vest, paddle and have available a whistle and operational/fully charged cell phone. Bring your own snacks and water. Report with your kayak and all your gear to the bottom of the Coney boat ramp by 6:30 AM. Be sure to bring your parking pass that morning so you do not get charged for parking. The passes were issued at the water marshal safety briefing. Recommend you get there at 6 AM to beat the crowds. You will act as eyes and ears on the Ohio River during the 8-mile paddle for any safety related issued and relay, by phone, any safety-related situation you may witness to the Paddlefest safety team. That's it. Water Marshals will launch at timed intervals during the 1 and a half hour launch window.
