What we're about

The Triangle Libertarians meetup group is sponsored by the Durham-Orange Libertarian Party, who meet monthly at Carolina Ale House in Durham and the Wake County Libertarian Party, who meet weekly at Tobacco Road Brewery in Raleigh. Most meetings are primarily social, but often there is a featured speaker or event; check the listings for details of forthcoming meetups. Everyone is welcome to attend, encouraged to ask questions, learn…and teach!

2022 WakeLP Convention

Tobacco Road Sports Cafe

JJoin us for our 2022 annual convention as we select delegates for the LPNC convention. We will take care of some party business and have a few guest speakers. It will be held at our regular meetup spot at Tobacco Road (downtown Raleigh) on January 26 from 7-10 p.m. and all are welcome to attend. Delicious snack food provided! We look forward to seeing you.

NOTE: In the event that TR is closed or bans large gatherings, the Convention will be conducted as scheduled as a virtual event open to delegates only.

Guest Speakers:

Shannon Bray, candidate for U.S. Senate, will be speaking about his campaign and why he’s running. Like most Americans, Shannon understands that policies on both sides can offer value to our country and community. He believes we have more in common than different, and it is important to find our similarities and work from there.

Ashley Shade, recently elected for city council of North Adams, Massachusetts, will join us via Zoom. As a council member, Ashley will be committed to serving all residents, businesses and visitors with equality, respect, and dignity; and will always represent the city of North Adams through her fundamental core values of compassion, education, and love.

Here's the agenda for the evening:

• Travis Groo - Chair report
• Steve Prins - Treasurer report
• David Ulmer - View from the peanut gallery
• Ashley Shade - Getting elected to town council as a Libertarian
• Shannon Bray - 2022 US Senate candidate
• Delegate selection for the 2022 LPNC CONVENTION
• WakeLP NCGA candidate introductions

REMOTE PARTICIPATION: The Convention will be webcast via Zoom for delegates only. Delegates attending remotely will be able to vote on any matters that come up. If you are a WakeLP member and wish to attend remotely, you MUST pre-register by NOON Wednesday 26 January: https://forms.gle/wAVTeAdvJz3DeEGN7

LP Orange County Convention

Armadillo Grill

Welcome to the FIRST official Libertarian Party of Orange County Convention. We'll be electing officers and approving a slate of attendees to the State Convention.

Go ahead and order at the counter (or the bar) and head upstairs for our group. It's first come first served, so we'll have some folks out early to save some space.

If folks want to attend remotely, just let us know and we can set up a Google Meet.

All are welcome. Come and join us!
