Tucson Atheists--there are more of you than you know--is now increasing our activity, organizing, and beginning to recruit more.
Membership not required to come to meetings.

Annual Dues: $15
To keep Tucson Atheists running smoothly and cover our Meetup hosting costs, we now ask members to contribute $15 per year. This helps sustain our discussions, social events, and community activities. If dues are a hardship, just reach out privately — everyone is welcome to participate.

Trivia Night

Tucson, AZCome share the fun, the community, and the godless bounty. The Wednesday night trivia event has become its own community, and the Heretics are a big part of it. All are welcome to join us!
Here's how the event works: The system is by TeamTrivia.com (TT). Questions are announced over a loudspeaker and answers are submitted on paper to the host. You can go to the TT site on the same day and get one free answer, and their Facebook page provides a free topic hint. The bar is not loud, but the music (which is part of the event) is loud enough that some of our regular players bring noise-canceling earbuds. There is a maximum team size of 10, but we will split into two teams when there are more heretics than the legal limit; this means even more fun and more prizes! It’s free although Bawker Bawker would surely like you to buy something: besides cider and beer (including a highly-regarded alcohol-free Guinness), they serve quesadillas and some other snacks and allow outside food.
Someone often gets there early to secure a good table, and so we are usually near the back on the right side. Look for Stephen in black tee depicting the Death Star with the word "Defiance."
Please note that this is not an atheist-centric event. It is open to the general public. Our purpose is to have a pleasant evening and perhaps win something. Both of those purposes are regularly accomplished.

Parking is free after 5 p.m. all along Fourth Avenue and the side streets. One block east of the bar, there is unmetered parking along the football field at Tucson High (this is 3rd Ave). Sometime this fall, parking meters might change so that enforcement goes until 7 p.m. You can read more here but for now, parking all around the bar is free after 5.
