Morning UU walk for flextimers and seniors
What could be more invigorating than a brisk fall hike through the woods with a group of congenial First Universalist Church companions? That’s the plan for the next Seniors Hike with Daytime Connections. Meet at the Cedar Lake Point Beach parking lot at 2100 Cedar Lake Parkway. This mostly-level hike will take a bit less than two hours, with shorter options available. Weather permitting (i.e., not too much mud) part of our hike will be on the dirt path through the woods on the east side of Cedar Lake, so please wear appropriate shoes for dirt trail walking. On the route we’ll have a chance to check out nearby Brownie Lake, as well as “Hidden Beach” on Cedar Lake. We’ll also pass a wonderful house designed by Frank Lloyd Wright (recently on the market for $3.4 Million!!). After the hike, there will be an optional lunch at Milda’s Cafe, a well-known Northside eatery at Glenwood Ave. and N. Logan. Please let us know if you’ll be joining us (and get more detailed driving directions) by contacting Ward Lyndall at (612)[masked] or [masked]. We hope to see you. Note: non-seniors are most welcome to join us.

What we're about

For U-Us and other like-minded people in the Minneapolis St. Paul metro area (Minnesota.) It's not neceesary to have an affiliation with a church, Unitarian-Universalist or otherwise, to participate in the Meetup.

U-U principles are the unifying aspect of our Meetup. To read the principles, see If you're not sure what a UU is, please visit It is not necessary to self-identify as U-U to join and take part in the Meetup.

Feel free to inquire about becoming a liaison from your congregation if you would like to publicize your outreach events here. A coordinator will help you if you have any technical difficulties using the site (that said, it is pretty easy to use!)

Western Wisconsin folks are, of course, also welcome.
