In this AzureCraft we welcome David Whitney, author of the popular childrens programming book Get Coding 2! We'll be spending a day learning the following:

  • Building games such as snake and pong to run in a web browser
  • Hooking up your game to a high score board hosted in the Microsoft Azure cloud

For this event there is no special software needed just write your code and play fun games when you're done! We'll be doing all demonstrations using Visual Studio Code which is a great code editor and can be downloaded for Mac or Windows here https://code.visualstudio.com/download

This event is for parents and children. If you're a parent and member of the group then please add +1 when you register.

This event is not for adults it is for parents that accompany their children. If you're a member of the group and would like to help mentor for the day please contact us through meetup as we're looking for several people that have programming experience to help on the day.

We'll be serving lunch and drinks all day and will be giving out prizes for the best effort and best game!
