What we’re about
We’re a casual and welcoming community of User Experience (UX) professionals, founded in 2013 by people who just wanted to relax and talk about design over a cold beer.
We organize events in Belgium (Antwerp, Brussels and Hasselt) to connect UX professionals and encourage continuous learning. We meet to exchange ideas, informally network, and grow together through all stages of our careers.
We’re run by a small group of dedicated volunteers and the generosity of speakers, local sponsors and hosts, and enthusiastic members like you!
Look for these types of events:
UX Beers (every last Tuesday in Antwerp, 2nd Tuesday in Brussels (4x per year), and also In Hasselt 4x per year, typically 60 - 80 attendees)
We gather at a different UX agency or venue to network, drink beers, and listen to speakers on various themes in the world of UX and digital design.
UX Workshops (periodic, attendance and topics vary)
Periodically we organize events to dive deeper into specific topics or skills in UX. These are facilitated, hands-on, small-group workshops, and a great way to improve your UX skills in more interactive format.
UX Movies (periodic, attendance and topics vary)
Sometimes cool movies and documentaries about design and social issues come out that are interesting for UX designers. We hold screenings with discussions and expert panels, and of course, we bring the beers. :)

Robert Winters, Design StrategistRobert is a seasoned design strategist with over 15 years of experience guiding tech startups from ideation to funding, production, or acquisition. He specializes in service design for mission-critical SaaS solutions, combining strategic insight with hands-on expertise. Robert practices what he preaches. Alongside his consulting work, he also operates Gloriacare, a marketplace in the Belgian healthcare sector.

Talk 2: Hops, Hiccups and Hallucinations: Tips for designing great AI experiences for end users
Tomas Staelens, Chief Technology Officer Campfire AITomas is the CTO and Managing Partner of Campfire AI, a Brussels-based conversational AI consulting company. He works with clients around the globe and has built or overseen the development of +100 chatbots, voicebots and AI agents. His current passion project is developing a voice AI product that aims to improve accessibility for Belgian citizens.
Tomas will present "Hops, Hiccups and Hallucinations: Tips for designing great AI experiences for end users," covering approaches to designing effective AI bots for optimal user experiences. The presentation will address common challenges in AI interaction design, including handling unexpected system responses, managing user expectations, and creating more intuitive interfaces. Tomas will share practical methods for improving AI user experiences, drawing from real-world examples and lessons learned in the field. The talk will focus on actionable design principles that can be applied when developing AI systems for end users.

In his talk, Steve will dive into how AI is pushing design beyond traditional interfaces and into more dynamic, adaptive worlds.
Instead of just being a UX designer who delivers wireframes or clickable prototypes, today’s tools — and especially AI — allow us to design entire interactive environments. In his talk, Jelle will show us why Agentic Experience Design represents both the biggest threat and the greatest opportunity in the history of UX.Two years from now, your interface may not have human users—it will have their AI agents, browsing, comparing, negotiating, and purchasing on their behalf. Welcome to the era of Agentic Experience Design, where we stop designing for clicks and start choreographing danses between AI. When AI agents book flights, evaluate products, or attend meetings, traditional UX principles shatter.
