The Curse of Knowledge: A Cognitive Bias We All Face

Details
Join us for our July meetup! We'll be in the beer garden at the back of Reilly Craft Pizza & Drink.
Elyssa Naval, website designer/developer in the UA Office of Digital Learning, will present a shortened version of her upcoming talk at HighEdWeb. In this interactive presentation, we will talk about the Curse of Knowledge, a cognitive bias that many professionals face. We will also discuss the importance of inclusive design, empathy, and welcoming new perspectives.
Come on down at 4:30. Presentation will start at 5pm and we'll leave time for discussion and networking afterwards.
Thank you to TEKsystems for sponsoring this event! We will have plenty of appetizers (including vegetarian and vegan-friendly options), so bring your appetite. The venue is wheelchair accessible and close to the streetcar and downtown bus stop.
Newcomers and all ages are always welcome - bring a friend or colleague and see you there!
