Cooking Adventure - "IZAKAYA Tapas" for Dinner :)
Details
Hi,
We're happy to announce our May workshop!! After this session, we'll restart our class in August, so hope to see many of you!!
It will be "IZAKAYA Tapas menu" on Saturday May. 26th, starting at 3:30pm. The event will take place in Santa Clara, and the location will be sent to those who sign up 2 or 3 days prior to the event date.
What we will learn in the event are below:
- Chicken Karaage (Japanese Fried Chicken)
Karaage is one of the most popular dishes at Izakaya type of restaurants or home and also in Bento Box. We'll introduce you how to cook Karaage without deep-frying. With our way, there will be less mess, less oil needed and you will be able to cook a lot at once. So it'll be great as everyday meals as well as a party food !!
- Somen Noodle
Do you like Ramen noodle? We bet you do and we do, too! But in summer, we Japanese don't eat hot Ramen much and instead, we eat chilled Somen!! We believe Somen noodle is the most consumed noodle during hot summer time. We'll introduce you how to prepare somen, tsuyu (soup) and toppings. Somen is perfect for quick lunch/dinner and easy to make, so we hope it will be your go-to menu for upcoming hot weather!
- Hijiki Seaweed Salad
Have you heard of hijiki? Hijiki is a type of wild seaweed and contains dietary fiber and essential minerals like iron, calcium, and magnesium. This traditional food has been a part of a balanced diet in Japan for centuries. We hope you will discover this unfamiliar ingredient and incorporate into your diet!
We are looking forward to seeing some familiar faces and some new ones too!
If we don't have at least four people confirmed to attend the event by the end of Wednesday on May 23rd, this event will be cancelled.
This session fee will be $48/person. Space is limited to 8 participants (a gentle reminder that there are no refunds after 3 days before the event date).
The class will last around 3 hours.
Looking forward to another culinary adventure with you!
