Title: How to Make an Old Computer Useful Again

Abstract: Howard has refurbished old computers as a hobby and charitable pursuit since the 1990s. He'll discuss --

* The environmental benefits of reusing computers

* How he obtains and gives away computers he refurbishes

* How to fix and tune mature hardware for use

* What software to install

Take-away: You'll know exactly what to do with that old computer in your attic or basement to make it useful again. And all will admire your intelligence when you spout off about your ewaste concerns at your next cocktail party.

Bio: Howard Fosdick is an independent consultant who's worked as a hands-on DBA, SA, and advisor to major vendors. He's refurbished computers as a hobby since the 1990s.
