A Course in Miracles | Monday Evenings with John Harold Moore MONDAY NIGHTS @ 7:30 PM - 9:00 PM UNITY OF HOUSTON – GRACE HALL Whether you are a long-time student of the Course or brand new to the teachings, we welcome you! Each night will begin with an opening prayer and meditation followed by a lively discussion of a particular section from the text. This is a “drop-in” class so join us whenever you can. There will be plenty of time to ask questions and share the miracles that are happening in your life as you apply these life-changing principles. In this supportive, fun environment we will help each other remember the truth of who we are and how to find inner peace, no matter what appears to be going on in the outer world. If you do not already own a copy, we strongly recommend you purchase the 3rd Edition of A Course in Miracles printed by The Foundation for Inner Peace at the Unity of Houston Bookstore or online at http://acim.org. See you on Monday nights! There will be no class on the following dates: September 3, 2018 (Labor Day) December 24, 2018 (Christmas Eve) December 31, 2018 (New Year’s Eve) January 21, 2019 (Martin Luther King, Jr. Day) April 22, 2019 (Unity campus closed for Easter holiday) _______________________________________________________________________________________ John Harold Moore is a Life Coach, Family Constellations Facilitator, A Course in Miracles Teacher, Writer, and Speaker. He has been a student of New Thought since 2002 when a friend brought him to Unity on the Bay in Miami for the first time. He loved the message, the music, and the whole experience, and from then on has found a Unity church wherever he has lived. In addition to Unity, John has studied many different spiritual paths, but the one that speaks most directly to his heart is A Course in Miracles. Once he discovered the Course in 2006 he began experiencing even more miraculous shifts in his life. John knew he wanted to share these teachings to help others on their own path of healing and wholeness. To that end, John is also a pioneer in the practice of Family Constellations, a healing modality which he feels provides a direct experience of the principles found in the Course. John graduated from the Family Constellations Institute of Miami in 2013, and speaks and facilitates workshops all over the country. He also serves as President of the Board of the annual Big Sky Retreat in Montana, the longest running metaphysical retreat in the world.
Our weekly meeting includes sharing, meditation and the giving and receiving of the Oneness Blessing, also known as Deeksha. The Deeksha frees the senses from the constant chatter of the mind, resulting in clarity of perception and spontaneous feelings of love, joy, peace, and inner silence. It dissolves negative life patterns, releases traumas stored at the cellular and energetic levels, and facilitates deep emotional and physical healing. The Deeksha accelerates a shift into higher levels of consciousness. One of two types of Deeksha will be given at the meeting.
