January DevOps Meetup: DevOps & Security (DevSecOps?)

Details

Goodbye 2019 and Hello 2020!

Let's kick off 2020 with a discussion around DevOps and Security. As hot as DevOps is, the world of Security is probably hotter. Integrating both aspects into your DevOps/Dev/SysAdmin world is critical. There's even a coined word for some of this: DevSecOps.

Our speaker for the event is Maury Cupitt, an SE with Sonatype. Here's a little bio on him:

Maury Cupitt has spent the last 20+ years in enterprise software working with early stage startups and large enterprises to help position the value of their technology and make customers successful. He’s worked at Netscape, AvantGo, Tasktop, CA Technologies and BlueStripe working with customers to solve challenges and advise on strategic solutions. Maury is has an entrepreneurial spirit, enjoys wearing many hats and has a passion for making software work better. Outside of software, Maury has worked on Broadway, is a pilot, enjoys amateur radio, tinkers with Raspberry Pis, teaches shooting sports, and loves DIY projects at home.

Lunch is provided and the meeting is free to attend. All we ask is that you register here so we can get a better count of how much food to have prepared.

Here is the agenda for the meeting:

11:45 - 12:00 - Lunch, networking
12:00 - 12:45 - DevOps & Security (DevSecOps?) by Maury Cupitt with Sonatype
12:45 - 1:00 - Q/A and dismissal

So bring your questions, your ideas, and be prepared to learn something new! And share this on LinkedIn, Facebook, Twitter and more!
