Urban Hike: Bernal Heights to Russian Hill

Let's do a Sunday afternoon urban hike. We will walk from Bernal Heights over to the Russian Hill area. I am still working on the exact route but we will include staircases, alleys, and community gardens. There will be hills and stairs.

Our start point can be accessed via MUNI Bus 14, 14R, or 49. The 24 bus and BART are also possible by walking a bit, or transferring by bus. We meet at 1:00, but leave at 1:10 (grace period). After the walk, we will the after gathering at a park, probably Francisco Park, picnic style. We will stop at a store for provisions. Please bring a cup or prepare to purchase one.

Please note: Phone help is not available for latecomers. If you are late it is very hard to catch up with us. We walk at a medium pace. Escorts or sweeps are not provided, so slower walkers should be completely prepared to finish the hike on their own if they become separated from the group, and they may want to consider bringing a friend to walk with them. I reserve the right to make small changes to the route as needed.
