Prepare. Learn. Practice. Have Fun.
What would you do if the power went out for several days? What if you couldn’t rely on your phone, the internet, GPS, stores, or emergency services? What if you suddenly had to provide your own food, water, shelter, warmth, communication, or security?
Urban & Outdoor Survival is a community for people who want to develop practical survival skills, improve their emergency preparedness, learn outdoor skills, and have fun doing it.
You don’t need to be an experienced survivalist or outdoors expert. Beginners are welcome. Our goal is to learn together, practice useful skills, build confidence, and become better prepared for the unexpected.

Team Building & Scenario-Based Training
Some events are serious training. Others are simply about getting outside, camping, learning something new, and getting to know the people in the group.
PREPAREDNESS WITHOUT THE FEAR
Preparedness doesn’t have to mean living in fear.
We believe knowledge, planning, practical skills and experience are far more valuable than fear or speculation.
Our goal is to help members become more capable and confident whether they’re dealing with a power outage, severe weather, natural disaster, getting lost outdoors, equipment failure, emergency evacuation, or simply spending a weekend in the woods.
LEARN FROM EACH OTHER
This isn’t a group where one person has all the answers.
Our members come from different backgrounds and bring different experiences and skills. We encourage everyone to teach, learn, ask questions, share ideas and practice together.
We’ll offer beginner through advanced training, workshops, demonstrations, field exercises, emergency scenarios, camping trips and informal meetups.
COME FOR THE SKILLS. STAY FOR THE COMMUNITY.
Whether you’re interested in:
Survival • Preparedness • Bushcraft • Camping • Hiking • Outdoor Skills • Emergency Planning • Disaster Preparedness • Home Preparedness • Self-Reliance • Wilderness Skills • Firecraft • Navigation • Water Purification • Shelter Building
—you’ll find something here to learn.
You don’t have to be a prepper.
You don’t have to be an outdoors expert.
You don’t have to own expensive gear.
You just have to be willing to learn.
EVERYONE IS WELCOME
Urban & Outdoor Survival has no religious or political affiliation.
We welcome people from all backgrounds who are interested in learning practical skills, preparing for emergencies, enjoying the outdoors and contributing positively to the group.
We bring people together—not divide them.
MEMBERSHIP & SAFETY
Because we want to maintain a safe, respectful and productive environment, membership is subject to a vetting process.
Misrepresentation, intentionally misleading information, conspiracy theories, fear mongering, racist beliefs or statements, harassment, or other behavior inconsistent with the purpose of the group may result in termination of membership.
A group waiver must be signed before participating in field events.
Our philosophy is simple:
Chance favors the prepared mind.
Most importantly, come prepared.
