Burlington JS: Hands on with JavaScript

Details
Whether you're new to JavaScript or you've been hacking on the browser for years, this workshop is meant for you!
Bring your computer! We'll have tables set up with a mentor and a prepared topic at each table. Topics range from "Easy" to "Medium" complexity. Further details to come.
In past year we have explored themes like:
- New to Programming - When do I use if, for, switch, var?
- New to Javascript - What is falsy, bind, call, apply?
- JS in Node - What is node, npm, commonJS?
- Native DOM - What do you mean I don't need jQuery anymore?
- Array Methods - When do I use slice, splice, filter, map, reduce?
- Objects and Inheritance - How do I do inheritance in JavaScript?
- ES6 - What are some of the new features in ES2015 aka ES6?
- Callbacks and Promises - What is callback hell? What is a promise?
Mentoring
Already an expert in some of these topics? Then come help level-up your local JavaScript community by serving as a mentor at one of the tables! Email Anahi: moanableu@gmail.com if you're interested in helping out as a mentor.
The primary audience for this is beginner to intermediate, but we still need the advanced members to show up to provide mentorship.
