Vancouver Photowalks Logo

Hi Photowalkers

We currently have 544 members of this group and it is still growing. So, to celebrate breaking the 500 member mark, I decided to have a logo designed for the group. Roger Luo, one of the members of our group has designed this logo based on my is attached below. I would like to know what you think about it as once it is completed, we will get it printed on caps, tshirts, bags, hoodies etc for you, as members, to purchase. You can wear these items to the photowalks or to you camera club meetings or will be lots of fun.

So take a look at the logo and then fill in the quick poll about what you think of it here:

Here is a brief explanation about the elements in the logo:

Harbour Centre: I included this because the very first photowalk we ever did was in Gastown and the harbour centre was in clear view. Also, any photo of Vancouver's skyline will generally have this iconic building in it.

Canada Place Sails: Again, a very iconic Vancouver structure which also represents the ships that enter the harbour and the sea that surrounds Vancouver

Coastal Mountains: Many photos of the areas around Vancouver will often have these mountains in them and they often form the backdrop to images taken in Vancouver.

Clouds: Well, it does rain here and so the clouds remind us that it does get wet in the winter...

Circle surrounding the logo: This is meant to represent the camera lens and it actually looks like a lens, depicting the photographic nature of our group

So, here it is...

Let me know what you think!!
