About the speaker
My name is Elen, I am Software Development Manager at Improving Vancouver. Where my days are filled with the joy of witnessing exceptionally brilliant people build awe inspiring things using code.

Outside of work, I discovered that telling stories to silicon chips is surprisingly similar to amusing humans. Somehow, unintentionally I became a novelist. My books are mostly women fiction with a humorous bent. In addition to writing, I am a flamenco dancer, I enjoy painting and I love to cook. All these activities inspire each other. I am an Iraqi-Canadian living in Vancouver, B.C.
