A Practical AI Dev Survival Guide
·OnlineOnlineYou know you want to apply AI tooling to your dev cycle, but want to filter out the hype and what's worth applying, and ramp up quickly without days of practice? This guide is a survey and relative ranking of several tools, processes, patterns, and gotchas to get you up to speed fast. It's not meant to make you a top 1% AI developer, but to be a very lean way of getting from new or dabbling to practical usage as fast as possible.
About the Speaker
Bdon is a Senior Dev Manager at Vidyard, leading the core video player and video intelligence team, and supporting our SRE/DevEx team with a focus on AI enablement. He's helping Vidyard evolve our SDLC for lean rapid iteration and to capitalize on agentic workflows where they make sense. Prior to Vidyard he managed teams at Jane app and Hootsuite, briefly ran a software consulting company, and outside of work can usually be found on a nearby mountain chasing around his 1 year old son and 10 year old husky or tinkering on various personal projects.Agenda (in PST)
