"It's Just Data!" The Wonderful World of Shaders

Details
• What we'll do
Dan Buckstein, an Assistant Professor from Champlain College, will be giving a talk followed by a few 5-minute show-and-tells. Here is the abstract for the talk:
"What are shaders? What can they do? How can I use them to make my games better? These are unanswered questions for many game developers, wanting to embrace the true power of raw data flow from CPU to GPU. This high-level hobbyist talk will delve into some tricks of the trade, how shaders can be used to implement and improve your game systems, and what the future holds in store."
Note: the meetup is back to its regular start time of 6:30 pm. My mistake for irregular the 6 pm start last time.
