We will Carpool from the Village of Victor Village Hall and meet the GVHC crew in Naples at CR 245 DEC parking area. We will then head up the hill to the section of the Finger Lakes Trail that Genesee Valley Hiking Club maintains. Below is the description posted on the GVHC Meetup page. Feel free to meet us in Naples at 9 am in the DEC parking area.

Hike Name: Bristol Hills Trail Maintenance Event/Lunch in Naples.
Hike Date: Saturday, May 2, 9 a.m.
Distance: ~2 mile section of trail, portions are steep. Work for 3-4 hours, then return to Naples for lunch and comradery.
Where to Park/Meet: Meet at the DEC Parking Lot on Rte. 245 in Naples to carpool to trail near Italy Valley or Hi Tor WMA. (For location and directions see map).

Other Note/ Comments:
Bring water, gloves, snacks, protective clothing. Tools will be provided or bring your own.
A reminder: pets are not allowed on the hikes.

We’ll meet at the library at 9:15 am. We’ll decide where we will hike at the library. It will be 2-3 miles at an easy pace. If you want, you can join the group for refreshments and socializing after the hike.

# Spring Wildflower Hike with Bruce Gilman In-Person

Bruce Gilman, botanist extraordinaire, will guide us for a hike on one of our local trails to admire the plethora of wildflowers in that area. We will meet at the library and carpool from there.

There should be Blue Bells in blossom along the Mud Creek floodplain. We will explore both sides of the creek and wonder towards Victor along the Auburn Trail where we may see other spring wildflowers.

We will meet in the Mertensia Road Park parking area down by the tennis courts.
