What we're about

The Women in Big Data Forum is a global initiative with the goal of strengthening the diversity in the big data field. We aim to encourage and attract women to the big data analytics field and help them connect, engage and grow.

Women in Big Data Canberra is passionate about diversity. While our events focus on spotlighting female talent, male allies and non-binary persons are very welcome to join our group. The glue that binds us is our support for each other and our love of all things data.

WiBD end of year networking and announcement of 2022 Annual Data Challenge

ANU School of Cybernetics

We have an interesting evening planned – starting with an optional tour of the School of Cybernetics exhibits (for those who can make a 4.15 start) - well worth your time if you can make it. If you cannot make the 4.15pm tour we are starting the WiBD presentations at 5.00pm with a few announcements and most importantly, in partnership with the National Gallery of Australia, we will be announcing the winner of the 2022 Annual Data Challenge – with a presentation from our winner.

Then we have time for networking and drinks. Will be great to see everyone there, a chance to touch base before the end of the year, meet some of the new exec members and hear about some of our initiatives for 2023.

The details of this event are as follows:

Start Time: 4.15 (optional) tour of the School of Cybernetics
WiBD announcements: 5.00pm
Drinks Networking: 5.35pm
Close: 6.30pm
