What we're about

This group explores writing opportunities in the Dallas/Fort Worth area; forms critique circles; and shares writing resources and talents for personal improvement and the greater good. We welcome writers of all skill levels, including beginners, and our work spans a wide variety of genres, including poetry, fiction, journaling, grant-writing, business-writing, news writing, creative nonfiction, ekphrastic writing, and other types of composition. Our meetings are nonjudgemental events in which we support each other in our writing efforts and provide critique to the extent it is desired.

3rd Sunday Feedback/Critique at Circle Grill -- All are welcome!

Come join us the third Sunday of each month for late breakfast or lunch and a feedback circle at 1-3 PM, Circle Grill, 3701 N. Buckner Boulevard Dallas, TX 75228 -- just off of I30. Today's meeting is our first. Bring a few pages of your work-in-progress to read to the group or bring a few copies if you'd like. This group is looking for a co-organizer to be in charge of leading this particular feedback circle each month, so if you are interested and this is a location convenient for you, talk to Leilani after this week's meeting. In addition, this group is free -- except for what you order at the restaurant -- and open to all writers of fiction, creative nonfiction, or poetry! We always ask what type of feedback you want and only give constructive, kind feedback. Sometimes, if time allows, we also complete a brief writing warmup, so feel free to bring paper and your favorite pen. You do not have to read your work to attend a meeting.

1st Saturday Morning Feedback/Critique at ArepaTX on Royal Lane

Join us from 9-11 AM the first Saturday of every month at Arepa TX -- a restaurant owned by one of our members, Chef Mary Ann Allen, who is as talented a novelist as a chef! Bring a few pages of your work-in-progress to read to the group or bring a few copies if you'd like. Sometimes, if time allows, we also complete a brief warm-up writing, so feel free to bring paper and your favorite pen. You do not have to read your work to attend a meeting. New members are always welcome to join us, and members are also allowed to come to as many meetings per month as they wish. This group is free -- except for what you order at the restaurant -- and open to all writers of fiction, nonfiction, or poetry! We always ask what type of feedback you want and only give constructive, kind feedback.
