Santa Rosa Plateau - Sylvan Meadows Parking Area

Note new time! Meet at 6:00 pm for a fast pace power walk. Head back to the picnic tables for happy hour. Bring a drink (wine, beer, whatever) and an appetizer to share. Gates closed at sunset. Please join us.

SANTA ROSA PLATEAU CARDIO HIKE

Location visible to members

Meet 5:50 PM at the benches at the center of the Santa Rosa Plateau Visitor Center parking lot. We will leave promptly at 6:00 PM and finish by dark. We'll hike the Granite Loop Trail to Waterline Road, Tenaja Road to Vista Grande to Monument Hill Road and up to Monument Hill for a short break. We'll continue along Monument Hill Road to Lomas Trail, to Tenaja Truck Trail and finish on Waterline Road back to the Visitor Center. There is a $4 trail use fee or get an annual pass for $35. Pay at the visitor center. We will have one short break at Monument Hill. The pace will be moderate but steady.... for strong beginner hikers or better for 5.8 miles. You may see rattle snakes, tarantulas, centipedes, coyotes, deer and various other wildlife. As Spring moves into Summer and then into Fall the pace will increase and some of us will “overload “ our packs to build strength and stamina! Questions/comments text SKY Read disclaimer below. Santa Rosa Plateau Photo hike

Vernal Pool Trailhead

Grab your camera and join us for a leisurely photo hike at the Santa Rosa Plateau. We will choose a trail to hike and today we will again concentrate on macro photos. Today's hike will meet at the Vernal Pools parking lot at the plateau. All levels are welcome. Bring your camera, water, a hat and a sense of adventure as we explore the tiny wonders nature has to offer. If you are a member of the Santa Rosa Plateau the hike is free. Non-members pay $4. Please try to be prompt, we will wait no longer than 10 minutes. Hope to see you there.
