Speed of interactive UI is a critical aspect of web experience, especially now when mobile consumption and responsive design became an integral part of web strategy.

Sergey Chernyshev (http://www.sergeychernyshev.com/) (@sergeyche (http://twitter.com/sergeyche)) will talk about the most important feature of every web site and application and will describe why you need to care about speed, what are the common performance issues and how to establish a process for web performance optimization in your team.

Sergey is web performance enthusiast, open source hacker and web addict. He has over 15 years of web development and operations experience and works at truTV as Director of Web Systems and Applications technically overseeing web development and operations for company's web properties.

Sergey also organizes New York Web Performance Meetup Group (http://www.meetup.com/Web-Performance-NY/), local community of web performance geeks. He speaks at Velocity conference and often invited to talk on performance-related topics at various local New York events.
