ABOUT THE MEETUP

This is a group for both ladies and gentlemen, singles and couples who are currently finding it frustrating like myself to find exciting like minded individuals to go out with during the day or evening, within the south and other areas of London too. Do you have different interests to your friends, has your best friends moved away, friends are married, have a young family, or are you new in London? If so this is the group for you. The events will take place whenever i find something exciting to attend, please feel free to join us, the group is for positive individuals who want to do something new for a change with like minded fun people. For example Burlesques Shows, 1920's, 30's, 40's 50's, 60's, 70's and 80's events, Jive/Swing Dancing, Line Dancing, Afro Beats, Salsa, River Dancing Shows, Comedy Shows, Pop Up Events, Food Festivals, Street Food Markets, Theater, Cinema, Opera, Celebrating other people's cultures ,Dinners, Lunch, Picnics, Weekends away, Holidays, Spas and lots more, if anyone has a suggestion for an event please feel free to share with the group.

If you have an idea for an event please share with me and will see what i can do, all suggestion are appreciated. Additionally if you would like to host an event please feel free to do so, you must have attended at least 10 meetups over 12 months, so that other members can get a better understanding of who you are as a person.

For some events there will be a small contribution fee to the host, mostly for food, theatre, shows etc

Guided Walk - Box Hill - Stepping Stones, River Mole walk & Denbies Vineyard

Come join me on a guided walk as we discover the beauty and magic of Box Hill, a breathtaking hiking experience through the woods and hills. A summit of the North Downs in Surrey, approximately 31 km south-west of London. The hill gets its name from the ancient box woodland found on the steepest west-facing chalk slopes overlooking the River Mole. While social gatherings of more than six people will be banned in England from 14 September, the government’s confirmed that organised sports and activities that have been through return to play protocols can continue, as can organised outdoor sports and physical activity events”. Itinerary Highlights: We will hike through the stunning Surrey Hills, embracing it's natural beauty, which covers one quarter of the county of Surrey and capture the famous Box Hill viewpoint with views over Surrey and Sussex. Let's enjoy a diverse hike through the captivating Surrey Hills taking in woodland, rolling downs, Norbury Park, the River Mole and Box Hill itself and the unique Salomons Memorial offering some stunning views across the Weald to Devils Dyke by the South Coast. We also cross the famous Stepping Stones over the River Mole and hike pass Denbies - England's largest Vineyard that won Gold in the IWC best Rose wine in the world in 2010. Hike Description Duration: 4 hours Route duration: 3:15 Route length: 11.47km (7.2miles) Elevation gain:[masked]m Grading: Moderate Hiking time: About 4 to 4.5 hours Points of interest: Box Hill viewpoint, tallest inland chalk cliffs in the UK, Palmerston fort, WW2, emergency runway, zig zag road 2012 Olympic cycling road race climb, Outstanding views of the Surrey hills. Additional points of interest with insignificant route change: Stepping stones and River Mole walk. Denbies Vineyard Britain's largest vineyard, please note we won't have time to visit the vineyard. Will we be going to the Stepping stones and River Mole walk and pass Denbies Vineyard. There maybe a couple of significant uphill section, but not for long. Members must have a good level fitness, this is a moderate walk, and gets easier as we walk along a canal path. Transport & Meeting Point Please meet at Victoria train station at 9.30 am outside WHSmith, we will leave at 9.50am for the 10.12 am train. Please make sure you arrive on time as the group will not wait for you if you are late. We aim to take the 5.19 pm train back into London by 6.15 pm (as we have a group train ticket, you are committed for the day). Food There will be stops during the hike for drinks, packed lunch, snacks so please don't forget to bring with you. West Norwood Feast

The West Norwood feast is back yaay. This is not a Meet up as i will be working in my boutique along the High St. Just wanted to share this awesome community event in my home town of West Norwood, the feast takes place on the 1st Sunday of each month from April to December. If you live in West Norwood and have not heard of the Feast shame on you it's been running for 4 years, where have you been?? Check out the food hub for you food lovers, they have some yummy food and delicious cakes too. The retro hub takes place in Rosebery's Auction car park. The portico gallery sometimes have traders there too. Traders have now extended outside the recreation center during the summer and inside during the winter months, the very creative artisan hub is on Chatsworth Rd, there are even more traders along Norwood High St too. For those who missed out last month, Oxo Tower has always a favorite with my meetup groups, been a few times and we loved it every time, great venue with very attentive staff come join me round the table for dinner and a glass of cocktail. I have reserved a table for 6 due to the new government guidelines, so act quick as this one fills up very quickly. Perched high on the 8th floor of OXO Tower on London’s South Bank, OXO Tower Brasserie affords sensational views across London and the Thames from its 250-foot terrace and dining area. Due to government's new dinning regulations, a table has been reserved for 6 people only. Gaucho first opened in London in 1994, taking inspiration from Argentina with a vision of bringing the world’s best steak to London.
