WhaleBlocks X Tech in Asia | Pitch Night 2018

Calling all interested parties in blockchain/cryptocurrencies! Whaleblocks is collaborating with Tech In Asia to bring you a day of exhilarating pitch competition, exciting panels, as well as plenty of networking opportunities.

Blockcrafters Capital, CrushCrypto, QCP Capital, Tomochain and Wanchain will be there as judges for the event, and the winning pitch stands to gain a feature by Tech in Asia.

The event will be held on Tuesday, 18th September.

Judges and panelists include:

• Victor Lai [Co-founder, CrushCrypto]

Victor has extensive background in finance. He was previously working in investment banking at Investec and at various hedge funds in Asia and North America. He specializes in fundamental analysis and investing, with experience in asset allocation, investment strategy, and portfolio management. He also has experience in advising clients on a broad range of transactions including IPOs and secondary equity offerings, M&A, divestitures, and restructurings.
Victor holds an MBA degree from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business with concentrations in Finance and Economics. Victor graduated from the University of British Columbia with a BCom degree and is a CFA Charterholder.

• Jack Lu [CEO, Wanchain]

A graduate from Peking University and The Ohio State University, Jack is a Blockchain entrepreneur and technical expert. He cofounded Factom in 2014 and founded Wanglutech, which brings Blockchain technology to a greater range of applications.

• Long Vuong [CEO, Tomochain]

Tomochain, a public blockchain infrastructure providing an innovative solution to the scalability problem of the Ethereum blockchain. Prior to working in Tomochain, Long Vuong was co-founder and the former project lead of the very successful NEM blockchain (New Economy Movement) in 2014.
As a blockchain guru and economics expert, Long has advised for a number of blockchain projects all around the world and contributed to affirm this technology value by developing practical products. He ís a notable speaker in many prestigious events across nations and a full-time blockchain evangelist. Long is a PhD candidate in economics, Massachusetts, U.S.

• HyunSick Choi (SoSo) [Founding Partner, Blockcrafters Capital]

Based in Korea, Blockcrafters Capital is a professional team of experts in blockchain, startups, and traditional finance that invests exclusively in blockchain technologies. They are also the biggest blockchain accelerating firm in Korea.
Having strong relationships with some of the most promising entrepreneurs and other top investors in the traditional finance and cryptocurrency space, Blockcrafters Capital is building a diversified portfolio and add value to the crypto world.

• Joshua Ho [Managing Partner, QCP Capital]

Joshua is a lawyer and entrepreneur. He has built e-commerce businesses globally with Rocket Internet, launched ride-sharing ecosystems like Uber and GO-JEK across the Asia Pacific and is a seed-stage tech investor in frontier markets and verticals.

An early investor in cryptocurrencies, he is currently Co-Founder of QCP Capital - a crypto-asset trading firm based in Singapore.
