MEA Whine and Dine
Hosted by Winnipeg Write, Edit, Publish
Details
Our host, Melva McLean, will introduce speaker David Cramer.
David will speak about his knowledge on producing and editing an audiobook in today’s publishing industry. He will also touch on the obstacles you might face. In addition, David has experience working with a company called ACX (Audiobook Creation Exchange), so he will explain their role in creating audiobooks, as well as their desired product, including a look at the range of genres, voices, and styles possible.
As always, Whine & Dine events are open to all and free to attend. The only charge is the cost of your own meal.
RSVPs are greatly appreciated as they help us make a reasonable reservation beforehand. Please advise us of your plans to attend with a return email to meaworkshops@ gmail.com
But if you decide to join us at the last minute, we'll be happy to squeeze you in.
The MEA hosts Whine & Dine events roughly once a month, featuring varying topics and volunteer speakers.
Please let us know if you would like to speak at a future event (we'll buy you lunch or dinner!) or if you have a suggestion for a speaker or subject. We are open to anything likely to appeal to our members: Writing, editing, publishing, freelancing and self-employment, linguistics, translation, computer skills, etc.
We look forward to seeing you.
