Microservices Architecture In Minutes with MEAN, Docker and Kubernetes.

Details
Digital Garage Founder and CEO, John McCawley, will be speaking on Microservices Best Practices in Web Application Development.
Companies like Netflix, Amazon, and Google have adopted the concept of microservices in their products. Microservices are one of the hottest topics in the software industry. A microservices architecture works well with modern languages and frameworks. And now, with the popularity of Docker and Google Kubernetes there is an easy way to manage the DevOps and deployment of microservices.
In this meetup we'll focus on building a simple set of microservices on the MEAN Stack. We will demonstrate packaging these services in docker containers. We'll also step through deploying the containers in development and production environments with Google Kubernetes and Red Hat Openshift.
This meetup is intended to be a “hands-on” workshop. We will be using a text editor, a Command Line Interface, Github and the Digital Garage Platform as a Service (PaaS) to build and deploy our MEAN Stack application. If you would like to follow along with the workshop bring your laptop and be prepared with the following before the meetup:
• Your favorite text editor.
• A Github account. If you have not signed up for your free Github account you can do that here: https://github.com/join
• A Digital Garage account. If you have not signed up for your free Digital Garage account you can do that here: http://cochera.thedigitalgarage.io/free-signup
