Join us for our monthly JavaScript Study Group at Galvanize in Boulder!

This month, Dominika will be speaking on "SQL vs NoSQL: an Overview" and Jennifer will be speaking on "Leveraging LinkedIn for Your Job Search."

We have a great evening planned! We still have time for personal projects. Lightning talks are usually ~15 minutes each.

A little about Dominika and Jennifer:
Dominika Wilk, a graduate of Arizona State University is currently a Project Engineer at Performance Software (https://www.psware.com/), most notably working on verification and validation projects, which test flight management systems. Most recently she has worked on Airbus A220 airplane for Collins Aerospace, previously on the Boeing 737MAX airplane for General Electric. An avid lover of all things tech, code, and art she has embarked on a personal journey into learning more about web development to fuel her creative side.

Jennifer Kerssen is a front end web developer at Crocs and a recent graduate of Thinkful, a fullstack web development program. Her background is in e-commerce where, over several years curating websites, she became interested in creating them. As a recent job-seeker, she hopes to share some actionable tips to help others feel a little more in control of a stressful and often frustrating process.

Everyone is welcome, no matter what level. The first half of the meetup is focused on networking/lightning talks and the second half, individual projects and questions. Don't have a project you're working on? No problem, we'd love for you to come anyway. Start a group project with other meetup attendees. Brush up on your JS skills. Use our resource guide, google, and each other to create something awesome. Or just come to hang out and meet people!

Schedule:
6pm : Arrive, food (pizza or something similar), networking
6:15pm - 6:30pm : Welcome/announcements/icebreaker
6:30pm - 7pm : Lightning Talks
7pm - 8pm : Project work, individual/group study/networking
