Get Your Feet Wet in Open Source
Learn how to contribute to, or become more familiar with, the world of open source. Pick the mentor and project that most appeals to you. Whether you know Ruby, Python, JavaScript, PHP, Java, HTML, CSS, SQL, or can't code at all, there will be a mentor and a project for you.
Each mentor will sit at a table and the workshop participants who want to work with that mentor will join that table.

10:00 AM - Free Workshop Begins: Intro to Mentors and Projects
11:00 AM - Participants have selected mentors and projects and begun working
12:00 PM - Break for lunch
01:00 PM - Return to working with Mentors
02:00 PM - Participants have become more comfortable with open source, grown their network, & expanded their career options.
03:00 PM - Workshop ends

This free daylong workshop will be held at Ohio LinuxFest 2017, https://ohiolinux.org/ , on Saturday, September 30th. The workshop will take place in the Delaware meeting room at the Hyatt Regency Columbus.
