About the Speaker

David Wells will be teaching this workshop. David is a full stack javascript developer in San Francisco. He previously worked at MuleSoft as a UI/UX engineer revamping their platform UI in React.

David is currently focused on building scalable, efficient, event-driven serverless applications at ServerLess.com. JavaScript, Node, HTML, CSS, Marketing, UI and UX are his jam.

Prerequisites

Knowledge of Javascript is very important if you want to get the most out of this workshop. It would be best if you had attended the first workshop.

About Us

We are a group of women focused on hands-on coding practice. We share best practice with a healthy combination of dialogue and practice, not just discussion.

Most material is geared towards those actively practicing coding for a significant portion of their time. They have experience with some of the topics we discuss and want to improve. Novice programmers will struggle to keep pace with the group!

In general, familiarity with at least one of the following languages and surrounding ecosystems is helpful: JavaScript, Python, or Ruby.

Beyond the Basics occurs approximately every other Thursday.
