Data is at the core for businesses today. With growing scale of data, getting actionable, immediate insights from data becomes increasingly important yet challenging. Kafka is a distributed streaming platform used for building real-time data pipelines and streaming apps.

This is the place to get familiar with concepts of Kafka and learn some of the production use cases for Product Search at WalmartLabs implemented using Kafka.

Snehal Nagmote is Staff Software Engineer working on WalmartLab’s Ecommerce Search Team. At WalmartLabs, she is responsible for designing and implementing real-time data pipelines for Product Search using technologies like Apache Kafka, Spark Streaming, and Cassandra. She has worked on building large-scale data processing systems at Goldman Sachs, JPMorgan Chase, and Intuit.
