• What we'll do
Join us for some interesting talks on Data Engineering & Pipelines. Hear our speakers present different technologies & toolsets they have used to solve various data engineering problems.

Our speakers:

1. Alena Melnikova
   Topic: A data engineering approach to job search
   Alena is a Big Data Engineer at Global Fashion Group. She studied in India, Launched a Hadoop POC in China, Established a Hadoop cluster for the largest retailer in Russia and now working in Singapore building Data as a Service platform!

During this talk Alena will show how she built a pipeline that facilitated her job search! This also helped her get a job in Singapore. We will see how to build an advanced version of this pipeline that gives us advantages when dealing with recruiters.

2. Purnima Kamath
   Topic: How I used Kafka for Web Analytics
   Purnima is a Director for Women Who Code Singapore and an evangelist for YOW! Conferences SG. Java & Web developer by profession, recently interested in data pipelines and streaming technologies.
