Open Space is a type of unconference where participants are invited to a unique purpose. We invite you to “Build commUNITY in Collaboration” as Women In Agile. What’s the secret to an open space? Five principles and one law which guide behavior in open space provide the clues. The five principles are: 1) Whoever comes is the right people 2) Whatever happens is the only thing that could have 3) Whenever it starts is the right time 4) When it’s over, it’s over 5) Wherever it happens is the right place The law is: The law of personal mobility — every person is responsible for their own learning and to move to conversations they find the most rewarding and where one can make a difference.
🤔 What is a lightning talk and should I sign up for this? The public speaking scene is challenging, not least when you are trying to break into it. We’ve all been there doubting our skills and ideas or maybe we just lack opportunities in our working day to practice. More often than not we just want a safe space to find our voice and rhythm, as well as receive some feedback. A lightning talk is a great way to do all of this. A lightning talk is a very short presentation lasting only a few minutes, given at a conference or similar forum. Several lightning talks will usually be delivered by different speakers in a single session. (wikipedia) Whether you are keen to present or just very happy to listen, learn or give feedback, everyone is welcome, regardless of your level of experience. There is no set topic to present on, so you can pick anything you are motivated to talk about. It's about passion, practice and confidence more than anything. 📋 Guidelines for presentations: ▶️ 5 minutes maximum (timebox) ▶️ You must have read our Code of Conduct: https://womeninagile.org/code-of-conduct ▶️ Have fun 🎉 Sign up here 👉👉👉 https://tinyurl.com/decembertalks 👈👈👈 Deadline: 11th of December ✔️ Agenda: 6.00pm - 6.15pm: Arrivals, intro and chatting 6.15pm - 8pm: Time for Lightning Talks ℹ️ The running order for Lightning Talks will be confirmed once we have reached 10 speakers!
