Presentation details:

For professionals, business owners and any individual engaged in or hiring someone to redesign or upgrade a Wordpress website and concerned about killing their rank in Google and losing traffic to their website.

Kathy Long, your instructor has been a web developer for 20 years, and an SEO for 15. Since Wordpress and other CMS website platforms have come on the scene – and web development has become easier as a result – she has seen Wordpress developers and consultants proliferate. Unfortunately, many are not fully trained in the technical and/or marketing aspects of SEO and make devastating mistakes that kill their clients' business potential online or completely rip the rug out from under from what they once enjoyed in terms of rank and traffic before the website upgrade.

Kathy has seen these devastating effects too often so she is passionate about educating and providing web designers and business owners a simple set of steps to follow when rebuilding their website and avert disaster. These same tools apply to any other kind of website platform such as Wix, Weebly, Squarespace, Joomla, and more.

This class has nothing to do with metatags, permalinks or keyword Insertion (your basic SEO and what most web developers learn). You will learn how to:

• Run some simple reports so that you know the benchmarks you need to at least achieve after launch (if not improve upon)

• Find and then keep Google favorite ranking factor on your site.

• Keep Google coming back for more and not choking with confusion

• Organize or reorganize your content without upsetting Google (yes, you can reorganize if you do it right)

• Find goldmines in your website that you may not have known existed, and then assure that they don't go bankrupt after launch

• Avoid killing dwell time and conversions on your mobile-friendly version of your site.

Run follow-up checks and corrections after launch to keep Google happy.

Meet in the computer trainer room.
