Live video for better communications in Workplace by Facebook

The topic for this week is about live video in Workplace by Facebook. Not only can you use Facebook Live from your phone or tablet, but you can broadcast live from the desktop browser.

Live video at work has the power to change how companies communicate. In Workplace, you broadcast live meetings with customers, team meetings, conferences, even all-employee meetings. Ryan Holmes, CEO of Hootsuite does the video selfie to broadcast messages to employees at Hootsuite. Executive teams can communicate directly with everyone in their company with video and also take questions in the comments.

And when video is as easy as using your phone, there is much less friction to getting your message out.

Speakers:

Rob Casteneda, founder & CEO, ServiceRocket

Flow of Events:

6:00pm to 6:30pm - Arrive, check in, a bit of networking, oh and yes, we will have some food and drinks.

6:30pm - 7:30pm - Use cases and examples of Live Video in Workplace with Rob Castaneda

7:30pm - 8:00pm - Some more networking and then...go home.

When you arrive at 2741 Middlefied Rd, you will see a CVS and a Starbucks on the corner of Middlefield and Colorado. There is plenty of parking in the lot behind Starbucks and CVS. We are upstairs above the Gym and Tae Kwon Do studio.

I just want to double check: Do we need tickets for this event? Also, is this group made of up of people who work at Facebook?

No tickets. Just RSVP here like you did. Facebook does not organize this user group, but we have had Facebook employees as speakers and in December we will have another. So Facebook is involved in this user group, but they do not organize it. Hope that helps - Bill
