What we're about
This group is for anyone in their 20s and 30s who is interested in learning and experiencing the benefits of meditation and socializing other like-minded individuals.
Join us twice a week (WEST SIDE & EAST SIDE) for 30 minutes of meditation followed by various activities such as short readings, guest teachers, and formal/informal conversations over tea and snacks. Most evenings you can expect anywhere from 10 to 30 young meditators.
This is an opportunity to be social and connect with a community of fellow meditators, and share in our experience as young people trying to live more sanely while still taking in all that our city has to offer. Our events are usually free and open to all, at any level of experience. Meditation instruction is available upon request.
NOTE THAT OUR GROUP HAS LOTS OF REGULARS WHO DO NOT SIGN UP THROUGH MEETUP. OUR MEETINGS ARE CURRENTLY AVERAGING 20-30+ ATTENDEES REGARDLESS OF RSVP'S THROUGH THIS SITE.

“In mindfulness one is not only restful and happy, but alert and awake. Meditation is not evasion; it is a serene encounter with reality.”
― Thích Nhất Hạnh, The Miracle of Mindfulness: An Introduction to the Practice of Meditation
"We have to know what we mean by meditation at all. Sometimes we use the word to mean emptying out or letting go. Sometimes we mean relaxation. However, the point of meditation practice is actually to rediscover our hidden neurosis and our hidden sanity at the same time."
