This is the fifth in a series of events aiming to breakdown the barriers to getting started with Drupal and getting contributing to Drupal. We keen to help support those already contributing and those that want to. We have very kindly been donated the space by London Southbank University to allow us to put on monthly code sprints.
With more and more people getting involved in Drupal generally and supporting the development of Drupal 8 and maintenance and support of Drupal 6 and 7 we encourage you to come along and get involved.
Everyone is invited, from beginners to experts. We'll separate out into 3 groups of newbies, people wanting to start contributing and more experienced people. If you’re happy to help the newbies then that’s great but its also a space for the more experienced to focus with fellow developers on Drupal.
We'll start with a very short talk at 6:00pm and then get started from 6.30pm. come get involved and help us make Drupal great.
Snacks and sandwiches will be provided.

Bring a laptop Ensure you have a local web server setup (see below) Take a look over the Drupal Ladder Review the Novice Queue and find some issues that interest you and seem approachable
Setting up a local webserver
There are several ways you can do this. The Acquia Dev Desktop is probably the easiest.

If you're using a PC you can also look at XAMMP http://www.apachefriends.org/en/xampp-windows.html
On the Mac, MAMP is a good alternative: http://www.mamp.info/en/index.html
Ubuntu users, you should know what to do.
Once you've got your local environment set up, we'd highly recommend installing Drush too.
