About us

A Church Mother's Silent Christian Women's Book Club: *Encouraging Hearts Through Faith and Fellowship, ***Zoom and in person. A sacred space created for women who desire quiet fellowship, spiritual growth, and meaningful connection through reading. Unlike a traditional book club where everyone reads the same book, our Silent Book Club invites each woman to bring whatever she is currently reading, whether it is a Bible study, devotional, Christian biography, inspirational novel, or faith-based resource. This format removes the pressure of “homework” and instead embraces the beauty of peaceful companionship, reflection, and personal enrichment. Rooted in grace, wisdom, and encouragement, our gatherings are inspired by the spirit of a “church mother”—a respected woman of faith who nurtures, prays, mentors, and lovingly guides others through godly wisdom and lived experience ( learn more about the organizer and church mother https://terrismalls.wixsite.com/encourage)

We meet twice each month on Zoom and occasionally gather for special in-person pop-up reading designed to strengthen sisterhood and provide moments of rest and renewal. We are based in Charlotte, NC but we welcome you to join from near or far. Each gathering begins with a warm welcome, light conversation, and opening prayer, followed by a silent hour of uninterrupted reading in a calm and comfortable atmosphere at home or in person. We conclude with a relaxed social wrap-up where a few members may share a meaningful quote, testimony, or reflection from their reading. Whether you are seeking spiritual refreshment, quiet community, or intentional time with God and good books, this book club offers a peaceful place to grow in faith together.

2 Peter 3:18** "But grow in grace, and in the knowledge of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. To him be glory both now and for ever. Amen."
Reading and meditating on spiritual truths helps to ground our faith and provides a clearer perspective on how to live a life that reflects His teachings. Whether through the scriptures themselves or books that help explain them, the pursuit of understanding is a lifelong journey.
