Rörö, End of the world island

Let's take a picnic-walk on the most northern island in the northern archipelago.

Rörö is located at the northern end of the Gothenburg archipelago. The island features sandy beaches and cliffs for swimming. The island is almost treeless but has fantastic views and sceneries over sea.

We get together at 10:15 in front of Opera House.

From Opera House, bus X6, at10:30
From Lilla Varholmen, ferry at 11:10
From Hönö färjläge, bus 1, at 11:27
From Burö färjläge, ferry, at11:50

It takes 2 hours to get to Rörö island from Opera House in Göteborg.

You need to have the ticket only for zone A.

The trail on the island is almost flat but hilly, rocky and stoney at coastal areas. It's ok with normal walking sneakers.

It's a medium-paced walk. Neither fast nor slow.

The stroll is maximum 2 hours or 8 kilometers.

The whole event might take 9 hours.

We take the ferry at 17:10 at Rörö ferry stop to get back to Göteborg.
We'll be back in Göteborg at 19:10.

We'll have a long picnic to swim, play music and beach volleyball.

Bring enough water, tea, coffee, lunch and snacks with you.
