What we’re about
A Proper Film Club is a brand new monthly, discussion-led film club for people who love watching movies and talking about them.
Think of it as a book club for cinema: each month, we select a film to watch in advance, then meet in person to unpack it.
We'll be leans toward independent and international films, alongside the occasional exceptional mainstream title (Past Lives, Anatomy of a Fall, Sentimental Value). We’re less interested in hot takes and more interested in why specific moments stay with us.
Using a projection screen, members are invited to share a favorite (or problematic) scene and articulate what they loved, questioned, or couldn’t shake about it. Disagreement is welcome; curiosity is required. This group is for anyone with a passion for film.
