Front-End Engineering Program Open House

Details

Stop by, meet the instructional team, and hear all about Turing's upcoming Front-End Engineering Program. Hear about why we chose to launch this program and how we plan to set the standard for front-end engineering.

We'll discuss the topics covered in the curriculum, which includes HTML/CSS, responsive design, developing for mobile, and user experience.

Food and drinks will be served.

We’re currently accepting student applications (http://apply.turing.io/) and mentors by email at contact@turing.io.

What is Front-End Engineering?

Front-End Development—the developer who takes comps or high-fidelity wireframes from a designer/UX expert and turns them into working prototypes. That person needs an understanding of UI and UX, but the core of their skillset is HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. Our program will teach students the ins-and-outs of HTML, how to implement CSS using the latest design patterns and tools, and legitimate understandings of core JavaScript, React, Ember, and Node. Students will learn to build applications in the browser for both mobile and desktop platforms.
