Hi Providence SEOers,

We are going to mix things up to make sure we are keeping the SEO Meetup fresh, easy, and fun. Here is the new plan going forward:

  1. We are going to meet a different venue every month.

  2. The format will change from a presentation to a social format. Whoever shows up gets to set the agenda for discussion! And if you show up late, you can still change the discussion :).

One fact about picking a topic, as a presenter, is that really I'm ready to talk about anything, not just what I prepare. The topics are diverse and endless. One thing that has been cool is the live Q&A we do. Someone asks a question and we can analyze it on the spot online. That on-the-spot element of our Meetups is the part I find the most fun and am energized by. So, it only makes sense to capitalize on that. So if I don't have a slide deck prepared, it just makes it's easier to get to what people want to talk about.

The social format makes it so much easier to just show up, grab a coffee or whatever, and join in the discussion or just listen. Bring your questions. Bring your laptop. Bring your SEO problems. We want a meeting that, even if small, is 100% fun and engaging, but also 100% useful.

Moving the venue around is an excuse to try out different restaurants and coffee shops :). The hunt will be fun.

For instance, we have never been in the "new" Brewed Awakenings on Bald Hill in Warwick. We've driven by it 1000 times, but haven't ventured in. Boom - we have our new venue for this coming week! And we might adjourn to Chilis next door for a beer afterward...
