Get The 411 on Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) v2.1

Details

Last November, we learned about Project Silver, which is tasked to reimagine accessibility guidelines post W3C Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) v2.0 and v2.1. For our first event of 2018, join us to learn all about changes as a result of the upcoming WCAG v2.1, scheduled for publication later this year!

We are lucky to have accessibility guru, Deque Systems' Glenda Sims (on twitter @goodwitch), who is flying in from Austin especially to talk to us about the what, when, and why regarding WCAG v2.1. For those of you newer to digital accessibility, WCAG v2.0 was published in 2008. Thanks to General Assembly San Francisco for hosting us.

Our agenda will follow the usual schedule:

6:00 to 6:30 — Mix & Mingle
6:30 to 6:45 — Opening announcements, jobs, & events
6:45 to 8:00 — Presentation by Glenda Sims

IMPORTANT TO KNOW:
When you arrive, come up to the 5th floor to a space called “The Commons.”
